Bape‘s forthcoming collaboration on the Adidas Evo SL has drawn rave reviews for its mismatched colorway and incorporation of signature iconography, and a second iteration has now surfaced as the release comes closer.
The Bape x Adidas Evo SL will have another option with blue and green uppers. Whereas the previously seen pair appeared predominantly in white with mismatched detailing, this version uses blue for the base of the right shoe and green for the left. Black star logos alternate on the medial and lateral sides, and they’re further united by red laces, lining and outsole. Each shoe also borrows the primary color from its counterpart in lighter form, i.e. a mint green on the blue shoe and sky blue on the green.
Bape’s Cloud Camo isn’t used for the lining of this colorway, but its Ape logo appears in gold on the right heel and its name is printed onto the medial midsole.

Roughly a year after Adidas gave the shoe a wide launch, chief executive officer Bjørn Gulden announced in March that the Evo SL was nearing 10 million pairs sold. Its become a standard bearer for super trainers, which cater to speedy workouts, but has also been widely praised for its versatility. Several different offshoots have added an exoskeleton, woven upper or reinforcements for moderate terrain and weather, and a growing list of collaborators is beginning to veer more toward a lifestyle approach.
Bape’s two colorways are the most overtly streetwear oriented versions of the Evo SL thus far, but with no effect on their ability to be run in.
The Bape x Adidas Evo SLs will release June 27 through Adidas’ app and select third-party retailers. Pricing is set at $200.
