Coming into the resort season, TWP creative director Trish Wescoat Pound was thinking about texture, layering and extending her idea of ease and comfort.
In just a few short years, the New York-based designer has found success with her shirting, suiting and denim layers (to name a few), while counting specialty paper leather as a hero fabric, alongside coated viscose linen and cotton shirting. So for her latest collection, she amplified these categories and materials by layering them with new styles spanning from great non-basic basics (see form-fitting double-layered viscose blend tops, chunky Italian cashmere sweaters and striped knit or woven tops) and an evolution of new casual bottoms (both skirts and pants) that nicely sat between a casual jean and a true suiting pant.
As always, Wescoat Pound amplified utility, unfussiness and comfort in layered-up looks that evoked a chic nonchalance. Each look effectively touched on her pillars of city (new matching leisure suits), sporty (must-have anorak pullovers, especially in red paper leather), and Americana (luxe plaid flannels), chic in ways that felt not only effortless, but very real.

Practicality-infused designs continued with striped shirtdresses, which could be easily untied and worn as a skirt and shirt, while great new leather-trimmed travel bags included button-off laptop cases and pouches for airport ease.
Outside of Wescoat Pound’s resort offering, the TWP showroom was filled with additional deliveries that will drop throughout the season, including a strong Aspen assortment centered around eveningwear separates (see a great pair of jeans and suiting trousers with cumberbunds, and open-back Ts and apron-like skirts covered in white feathers) and easy takeaway styles.
“It’s about how you break it down and mix it together. That’s where we want to do a better job sharing with our customers. A lot of things are simple, but you need visuals and we are in service of our customer,” Wescoat Pound said of the strongly styled collection, which offered plenty of great wardrobing essentials and specialty pieces, each imbued with unique details, for her customers to play with.
