For resort 2027, Adam Lippes looked to the world of alpine retreats, drawing inspiration from destinations including Saint Moritz, Zermatt and Cortina. But the collection wasn’t really about skiing. Instead, it captured the understated elegance that surrounds mountain life — chalet dinners, afternoons in town and evenings by the fire.
“It’s really focused on day into evening, but easy,” the designer said during a preview. “You can wear flats with everything.” That philosophy of elevated ease informed a lineup built around exceptional fabrication, luxurious everyday dressing and a renewed and modern approach to occasion wear.
A notable milestone came through Lippes’ first collaboration with Lesage, the storied Paris embroidery atelier. The partnership brought handcrafted embellishments to select pieces and underscored the level of craftsmanship surrounding his business. It also reinforced what is a central focus to the brand — as Lippes put it, “fabrications, fabrications, fabrications.”

That emphasis was evident throughout a collection built around texture and tactility. Double-face cashmeres, compact knits, richly textured plaids and waterproof silks were rendered in a restrained palette of black, charcoal, ivory and winter white. An embroidered cashmere coat showcased the elevated workmanship, while graphic plaid separates, fluid trousers and softly structured tailoring demonstrated the designer’s ability to create impact through material and silhouette rather than overt decoration. Meanwhile, substantial knitwear on sets, elongated tailoring and wide-leg pants felt designed for everyday life, albeit an exceptionally luxurious version of it.
Perhaps most intriguing was his approach to evening. There wasn’t a gown in sight. Instead, Lippes proposed elegant alternatives through sculptural separates, relaxed tailoring with hints of the sensual with exposed lingerie and fluid silhouettes, especially relevant given what the designer described as growing demand from younger customers seeking “luxury cool” — pieces that feel special without the formality of traditional occasion dressing.
After years of doing “a little bit of this, a little bit of that,” Lippes firmly has landed in what resonates most with his customer. He isn’t chasing novelty, and is doubling down on what he does best: sophisticated, beautifully made clothes that deliver luxury through craftsmanship, ease and quiet assurance.
